Bear Claw Vineyards

Bear Claw Vineyards is a place known for breathtaking mountain views, pristine bubbling springs, and the Blue Ridge Treehouse, a place you can soak up the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and breathe in the clean mountain air to renew your spirits. Bear Claw Vineyards is a densely planted vineyard, which is rarer to see, producing less grapes but better wine.

Mercier Orchards

Mercier Orchards is the only apple orchard in Georgia that grows, presses, ferments and bottles their own hard apple cider & farm wines. Mercier’s is also the first producer of Hard Cider in the state. Visit their 120-acre farm and enjoy a round of tasting; hard ciders include Grumpy Granny, Black Bee, Legends, Old #3 and Cold Day in Hops. Their farm wines include Fall Harvest Apple, Blackberry Winter and Summer Sweet Peach wines. Mercier’s also has tastings of some of the best regional wines produced in the Georgia Mountains. Mercier’s is open from 7am to 6pm, 7 days-a-week.

Serenberry Vineyards

Serenberry is a charming vineyard and farm winery just a few country miles from downtown Blue Ridge. Experience this intimate place and take in the simple and serene pleasures of the North Georgia Mountains while being surrounded by nature’s down-to-earth gifts of life, people, and wine. Visit the Tasting Barn, dating back to the 1920s, and sample a variety of sweet, dry, and hearty wines. Linger longer; select your favorite wine, by the glass or bottle, and explore the beautiful, relaxed setting on the open-air patio or take a leisurely stroll through the vines.

Fannin Brewing Company

Tom Fennell brought his brewing skills to Fannin County for two simple reasons: Fresh air and fresh water make for fresh beer. Being local is important to Fannin Brewing; it’s in the name of their beers. Hiawassee Golden Ale, Toccoa Brown, Blue Ridge Lager and Chief Whitepath White IPA, along with several specialty beers and seasonal beers. They also source local ingredients in many of their beers.

Grumpy Old Men Brewing

A “Nano Brewery” and home of the world famous Moon Over Blue Ridge Wheat, Aska Pale Ale, Devils Den IPA, Hells Holler Porter, Tootla Creek Blonde Ale. Bergey Brown Ale, and Grasshoppa Imperial IPA. Grumpy Old Men Brewing was established in 2012 by two “old retired guys” who were home brewing in an outdoor shower and graduated to their brewery on East Main in Blue Ridge. Their corporate mission is simple: “If we don’t like it, we don’t drink it. If we don’t drink it, we don’t sell it.” 

Open for tastings from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Blue Ridge Brewery

“The Brewery” is Blue Ridge’s own brewpub, with the capacity to pour six of their own house brews and eight beers from other craft breweries. The Brewery also has great food and live acoustic music on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 6 p.m. Open Wednesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner.

Cartecay Vineyards

Cartecay Vineyards is located in Ellijay in the scenic Cartecay region. The vineyard has entertainment on weekends and the Tasting Barn is a refurbished circa 1890s barn, with seating area round a wood fire stove, covered porch, deck and events room, which was originally a hay loft. Cartecay makes a variety of wines, including Vidal Blanc, Traminette, Chimney Blush and Chimney Red, Merlot and Cabernet Savignon.

Chateau Meichtry

Chateau Meichtry is a family owned and operated winery and vineyard near Ellijay. The vineyard is located in a beautiful setting, and features music every Saturday. Full tours of the vineyard are available every Saturday and Sunday at 12:30 p.m. by reservation. The tour includes a tasting of 5 wines, a glass of your favorite wine at tour conclusion and a crystal Chateau Meichtry wine glass.

Nottely River Valley Vineyards

Located in Murphy, N.C., Notteley Valley Vineyards is a family owned and operated vineyard and winery established in 2008. The vineyard and winery occupies 10 acres of a 93 acre farm that has been in the family since 1820. The vineyard consist of high density plantings of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Primitivo, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and the French Hybrids – Chambourcin, Chardonel, & Seyval Blanc.

Paradise Hills Winery Resort & Spa

Paradise Hills is located near Blairsville.  As you drive into the entrance of the 35 acre property, there is a small test vineyard roadside, below some of the rental cabins. The main vineyard at Paradise Hills stretches beyond the centrally located Lodge with the winery production building alongside it. The vineyards were originally planted in 2012 with a variety of grapes to include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Reisling, Chardonnel, Traminette and Sangiovese.
