What better way to kick off a Blues Weekend in Blue Ridge than to ride The Blues Train on Friday night, supporting the Ferst Reading Foundation!
Board the Kiwanis Blues Train at the historic Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad depot in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia. The train ride consists of a one hour journey along the Toccoa River through the North Georgia countryside. During the ride you will enjoy live entertainment on each car, appetizers and soft drinks, beer and wine. Upon your return prepare yourself for the Block Party! Passengers will enjoy a boxed dinner; with beer, wine or soft drinks and listen to a live band.
Ferst Readers provides age-appropriate books every month to children until they reach five years old. The Kiwanis Club's goal is to put a book in the hands of every one of Fannin's 1,000 eligible children, with approximately 350 children currently enrolled.
