Overview
Project Chimps invites families from across the region to celebrate spring at the 2nd Annual Project Chimps Community Easter Egg Hunt, a joyful day of outdoor fun taking place on the beautiful sanctuary grounds. This year’s event features two unique egg‑hunting experiences designed to ensure every child can join in the excitement — plus the opportunity for guests to add a guided tour of the sanctuary to their visit.
Egg‑celerator Hunt — 10:00 a.m. sharp, Check-in begins at 9 a.m.
The morning begins with a fast‑paced, traditional egg hunt where children race to find colorful eggs hidden throughout the sanctuary’s scenic spaces. To keep the experience safe and age‑appropriate, three separate fields will be designated:
Ages 2–5: A dedicated area near the ropes course
Ages 6–9: Behind the historic cabin
Ages 10–12: Around the koi pond
Each egg holds a surprise — candy, small toys gift shop discounts, and even the chance to win a free private tour of Project Chimps.
Egg‑stra Special Egg Hunt — 11:00 a.m.
Project Chimps is committed to making this spring tradition accessible to all families. The Egg‑stra Special Egg Hunt is designed specifically for children with special needs, offering:
A quieter, calmer environment
Reduced crowds and a slower pace
Sensory‑ and mobility‑friendly accommodations
Supportive volunteers to assist each child
This gentle, inclusive session ensures every child can enjoy the magic of finding and collecting eggs in a stress‑free, welcoming setting.
Optional Sanctuary Tour Add‑On
Guests who want to enhance their visit can add a guided tour of the Project Chimps sanctuary. Tours may be reserved in advance when RSVPing or purchased on the day of the event in the gift shop. Tour pricing: $38 per adult; children are free
