Learning Tree Academy of Blue Ridge

In 2017 Learning Tree Academy of Blue Ridge opened for preschool with one classroom of 8 children. Over time as the waiting lists grew it became necessary to expand in 2020 to a school with 2 classrooms that serves over 32 children.

As a small private Christian preschool, we have the luxury of offering one on one attention that isn't always possible in a large classroom setting. Our belief is that the best way to engage children in their learning is to make it creative, hands on and interactive. You will find us building rockets, exploding volcanoes, creating an undersea world as we explore the oceans of our world and so much more.

We have a heavy and early emphasis on phonics so that by the time a child finishes their 2 years of pre-k they have already learned to identify their letters, learned their sounds, and started down the path to reading. We are proud of the program we offer but felt that while most children might be ready for the rigors of public education in kindergarten, we see that not all of them are. As more parents requested possibly creating a kindergarten class, I began to pray for God to open the doors if that was meant to happen. That is when amazing answers to prayer began to take place. I had a family come to me wanting to help me find a location, I had beautiful highly qualified teachers want to join our team and I have had an overwhelming response to adding elementary grades with little to no advertising to this point. I continue to stand back and be amazed at the goodness of God and all that He is doing. I don't know what is next for our little school, but I am blessed to be a part of this journey and proud of the program we are able to offer children in this community.
