Overview
Located along the banks of Rock Creek and far from civilization in North Georgia mountains. This recreation area offers camping and trout fishing. This area is well known for its trout fishing and is located just upstream from the Chattahoochee National Fish Hatchery.
The Chattahoochee National Fish Hatchery is also located on Rock Creek approximately 1/4 mile downstream from Frank Gross. The facility offers an informational visitor kiosk, outdoor raceway viewing, picnicking, and an Environmental Education Center.
Reservations are required to camp in this campground. Reservations can be made through the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS). The website (www.Recreation.gov) offers convenient round the clock access to the Online Reservation Service or visitors may call NRRS at 1-877-444-6777 (toll free) between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
You may reserve camp sites the same day as you arrive and as far as six (6) months in advance. Reservations are not available at the facility.
