Seasonal Closings
Here you will find a list of businesses, roads and recreation areas that have been closed, either for the season season or renovation. This page will be updated as we learn of any closures.
Temporary Winter Closings
Masseria continues to be closed until further notice
Brasstown Bald facilities (Visitor Center, Shuttles etc.) are closed for the winter season, Please watch their FB page and website for future dates. The road 180 Spur will be closed when there is ice, unfortunately no number to call for this, they try to update their FB page other than that, they can drive up to the parking lot and do the .6 mile walk up to the observation deck, but all facilities will be closed, no elevator, no shuttles., no bathrooms. There is a $5.00 per person fee with a drop box that is on the honor system. If 180 Spur is closed, ambitious people can do the 2.5 mile hike to the parking lot, than the .6 mile to the observation area, so a total of 6 miles and a lot of elevation. https://www.facebook.com/Brass... https://gofindoutdoors.org/sit... A suggestion to guests should they get over there and find the road closed would be to visit Vogel State Park which will be just a short little detour on their way back to Blue Ridge.
The Fannin County Heritage Museum, Baugh House - Closed for the winter, scheduled to re-open in April.
