Studio 1 - Performing Arts School

Overview

Studio 1 was established in 1984 and is celebrating 42 years of excellence in dance education. Classes are offered in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Tumble/Acro, and Creative Movement for Beginner to Pre Professional level students. Classes are offered to ages 2 years to adults. There is a Recreation Program and a Pre Professional Program to choose from. Recreational students have weekly classes in the subject of their choice and Pre Professional students are members of the Studio’s Dance Company which trains in multiple genres.

Classes are held annually beginning in August and continuing through the following May. In Summer months of June and July, Studio 1 holds a short summer session and various dance and tumble camps. During the school year students have the honor of participating in shows at Christmas and in Spring at the end of the school term. Studio 1 produces “The Nutcracker Ballet” and “ The Christmas Spectacular” each December. The Spring Show has various themes.

Studio 1 is located at 7559 Blue Ridge Drive in Blue Ridge, Ga. It is a 15,000 sq ft facility with 4 studios for Dance and Tumble Classes.
