Healthy Food Spots in Blue Ridge
There are some delicious healthy food spots to dine in and pickup take-out food in Blue Ridge. Here are some of our faves:
A wholesome selection of fresh fruit, organic cheeses, delicious cold cuts, nuts and more combine in charcuterie boards at a couple of our local establishments. Not to be missed is Hook & Eye at the top of the Hampton Inn, featuring a great outdoor view over town with yummy dining (pictured above). Also for healthy eats that you can combine with a delicious glass of red wine, stop by The Pasta Market in downtown Blue Ridge. They also put together baskets and charcuterie orders for parties and gifts.

At the corner of E. First Street and E. Main Street in Blue Ridge is a little treasure worth seeking out... Zen & Juice. They believe that food is medicine. They utilize local and organic ingredients as much as possible to create unique food & juice options that bring joy to the palette and deliver improved performance to the body. With menu items like Warrior Wraps, a wheat wrap with quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, mixed greens and their house made avocado sauce you can't go wrong. While you're there be sure to schedule a yoga class onsite with Yoga Over Blue Ridge.
Side to side at the end of E. Main Street in downtown Blue Ridge are two local favorites for healthy mountain living... The Blue Ridge Olive Oil Company and Tupelo Tea. Owners Tom & Donna have artfully curated a selection of Italian olive oils and gourmet balsamic vinegars at The Olive Oil Company. The staff is happy to give samples of the delectable, healthy ways they combine. And at Tupelo Tea features over 100 delicious and distinct flavored loose leaf teas from around the world. Enjoy a cup of hot or iced tea, or a healthy tea smoothie. Taste both local & artisan honeys.

'An apple a day..." goes the old saying and Blue Ridge is so lucky to have the largest apple orchard in the southeast, Mercier Orchards, as its home town. Known as Southern Living Magazine's "favorite roadside apple market," but it is much, much more. Apples (and other in-season fruits) of many varieties are available year round. Healthy apple ciders, a tasting counter, vast selection of packaged goodies and a helpful, knowledgeable staff make Mercier Orchards a must stop on any trip to the north Georgia mountains. For over 75 years, the Mercier family has been welcoming visitors to taste the fruits of the mountains.
Cantaberry Restaurant in downtown Blue Ridge is a favorite lunch stop where the soup is the star in any season. Tomato Basil, Chicken & Wild Rice, and other soup specials are fabulous. Spinach salads with apples, cranberries, pecans and grilled chicken are simply mouthwatering and filling. Try a split... a cup of soup and a half sandwich. Specials change daily in this chef inspired fresh food eatery.

Up on East 1st Street in downtown Blue Ridge a healthy food gem is serving up some of the most delicious fare... it almost can't be categorized as 'health food' (what a boring concept!). Poké Jon’s serves up fresh Hawaiian cuisine made your way and served fast with fresh ingredients, bold flavors and unbeatable taste. Vegetarian and Vegan friendly. They also have a Saki bar, beer and hard cider available. Eat indoors or on one of their outdoor patios. Check out their menu!
