Planning a trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains? North Georgia is the place to start and Fannin County has long been known as the Gateway to the Blue Ridge. We have compiled an interactive guide to incredible experiences in our area loaded with hundreds of activities. Whether you need detailed maps of activities in the area, information links to other websites (like the US Forest Service) for official information or even seasonal information guides for the time of your visit, here are trip planning resources to help you plan in advance of your visit, and on your smartphone or iPad while you are here:
Getting to Blue Ridge is quick and easy! You can be enjoying our mountains and attractions in no time at all. From Atlanta: Take I-75 North to I-575. This becomes the Georgia Mountain Parkway (Hwy 515) at the Cherokee County - Pickens County border. Continue on this road for 55 miles to Blue Ridge. Visit our New Welcome Center! Our official Georgia Welcome Center is loaded with even more information about Fannin County, the North Georgia Mountains and the Southern Blue Ridge. You can find us at 152 Orvin Lance Drive, off of Hwy 515. Turn right at CVS Pharmacy then take the first left after Bank of Blue Ridge. We also have a Visitors Center located in the Red Caboose right in the middle of downtown Blue Ridge. |
