Welcome to Fannin County, Georgia
Including the cities of Blue Ridge, McCaysville and Morganton, Georgia

Located just 90 miles north of Atlanta via I-575, Fannin County is Georgia's gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains, the southern tip of the Appalachians. It is located on the Tennessee, North Carolina line.

Economic Development
Fannin County has much to offer companies considering relocation or expansion in the southeast: a highly accessible location, Work Ready certified workforce, attractive facility and site options, excellent education, advanced telecommunications and competitive incentives.

Education
Fannin High School’s graduation rate is 91.3 percent, 10.5 percent above the state average. The school system and its individual schools have met Adequate Yearly Progress by meeting or exceeding all federal and state standards.

Local Government
Fannin County has three incorporated cities, Blue Ridge, McCaysville and Morganton. State Representative David Ralston, Blue Ridge, is Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Healthcare
Fannin County’s medical facilities are competently serving the needs of a growing population fo families and retirees.

History
Fannin County was created in 1854 from portions of Union County and Gilmer County, with Morganton as the first county seat.
