Cancelled - John C. Campbell Fall Festival

FALL FESTIVAL

After much consideration, the Folk School has made the tough decision to cancel the 2021 Fall Festival.

We had to make this decision early, as planning for and producing the Fall Festival takes a lot of work, resources, and care. Safety of all our constituents is our top priority and, although the recent news has been hopeful, we have no way of knowing what things will be like this fall. Canceling any later, due to changing circumstances, would have caused a great hardship on our vendors, personnel, and guests.

Because Fall Festival typically brings thousands of people from across the Southeast to our campus, we also feel that this is the most responsible choice considering the health and safety of our staff, instructors, students, and local community.

We'll be announcing plans for the 2022 Festival on our website and social media in the near future. We encourage you to follow us and sign up for our eNewsletter to make sure you receive the latest updates.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we've adjusted to the twists and turns of the pandemic, followed complex public health guidelines, and stayed on course to bringing back the Folk School experience. We hope to one day soon welcome everyone back to campus to celebrate the rich heritage of the Appalachians during our much-loved Fall Festival.
