Live Music Outside in Fresh Mountain Air:
Bring a picnic and spread a blanket for Pickin’ in the Park in Horseshoe Bend, a beautiful riverside park near McCaysville, GA for live Bluegrass jam sessions through September. On August 31 get out in the country and check out Just Because, pickin' bluegrass live at Van Zandt's Riverwalk Grill & Grocery.
Over Labor Day Weekend lots of outdoor live music is happening at Bear Claw Vineyards, Serenberry Vineyards, Cartecay Vineyards, and the Annual Labor Day BBQ & Gospel Music Show in downtown Blue Ridge City Park. If sipping a craft brew and tapping your feet to a rocking band is more your style, Blue Ridge is home to two great craft breweries, Fannin Brewing Company and Grumpy Old Men Brewing, and both offer live music on weekends on their outdoor patios (along with craft brew tastings). Black Sheep Restaurant Bar & Patio has a tasty weekend music and happy hour scene. And it’s not unusual to see musicians performing during the weekend days along Main Street in Blue Ridge.
