Eight Secluded Cabins Ideal for a Socially Distant Getaway

If you feel like your four walls are closing in, but you’re not yet ready for an expansive travel getaway, then a secluded escape to Blue Ridge is just right for you.

These cabins keep you distant from other people, but they offer plenty of amenities to keep your family busy for an extended weekend. From hot tubs to rec rooms and from fire pits to river floats, you can relax and unwind here without ever seeing a soul.

Pro Tip: If you truly want to disengage, bring groceries from home. All of these cabins include full-size kitchens. You can also dine-in or take-out from several Blue Ridge restaurants…or, our favorite, get groceries or restaurant delivery to your cabin with Cabin Concierge.

Lost in the View

You won’t hear a peep from your neighbors on this 1.5 acres of private land, and with three bedrooms you can enjoy a weekend away with the extended family.

From the covered porch, enjoy watching the fireflies from the large hot tub…listen to your little ones belly laugh as they take on the tire swing…or heat up the grill for sensational kabob creations.

When you need a break from the heat, head inside for a game of air hockey, or team up for some board games or cards. And when evening falls, spend some alone-time in the hammock or gather with the family around the grand fire pit.

Above the Blue

5,000+ square-feet of true luxury, this getaway boasts five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, suitable for up to 14 people. In addition to the massive windows and stone fireplace, you will love that it sits on Lake Blue Ridge. From the two-tiered private deck you can see your boat docked below.

Grandkids coming? No worries! Upstairs is a room with two twin beds, and a bunk room with eight additional twins. The kids also have their own bathroom and den area, and they will love the SodaStream in the kitchen.

For the adults–kids at heart– head to the downstairs lounge with a ping-pong table, large TV, another fireplace, wet bar and deck access to an over-sized gas grill and view of the lake.

A River Runs Through It

If you’re looking for an ideal fishing getaway that is a bit larger and more luxurious then you’ll enjoy this cabin in the Aska area.

Catch trout in the Toccoa, right off your back deck. Even if fishing isn’t one of your skills, you’ll love the easy access into the river for a swim or a row in your kayak.

Next to the river, on the side of the cabin, you’ll never want to leave the stone patio with firepit and custom swing. If you do find yourself inside, challenge the kids to a round of pool or darts in the rec room.

Once the kids are in bed, enjoy the sound of the Toccoa from the porch as you soak away the worries of your day in the hot tub.

Above the Timberline View

High above the trees and yet close to the wide-open hiking trails of the Aska area, this cabin includes everything you need to call it home for a weekend. You can even add on a full or half-day Guided Private Water Trophy Fishing expedition!

Spend your evenings out by the firepit with Adirondack chairs, solar lighting and corn hole; sipping a cocktail in a craftsman rocker on the porch; or snuggled together on the screened-in lanai with comfy seating and views of fireflies dancing.

Inside, the rec room with an arcade machine and pool table find a wall of windows that promise amazing views, as well. You’ll find a wet bar, wine fridge and large TV. And the hot tub? It’s calling to you. This is the perfect place to answer with a sigh of contentment. Ahhhhhhh.

The Owl’s Perch

It’s called The Owl’s Perch because it sits over 3,000 feet above the tree canopy, with idyllic views of the U.S. Forest Land. Watch the sunset in the Western sky as you soak in the seven-seat hot tub, gather on one of the large screened porches or roast s’mores at the firepit.

Two master’s with en suites make it perfect for multiple families. One additional room includes bunk beds, and another includes bunk beds with a queen. The large kitchen and dining, plus multiple outdoor spaces make it easy to be together or catch cozy alone time.

The lower level space doubles as a living room/game room, featuring foosball and ping pong tables, puzzles, board games, TV with DVDs and a PlayStation with games. There’s a selection of toys, blocks, games, a pack n’ play and movies for younger kids.

Fightingtown Creek Lodge

Enjoy the treasures of Blue Ridge without leaving the property since this cabin sits right on Fightingtown Creek: one of the largest of the streams that holds both stocked and wild trout. When you’re not fishing, relax at one of the two firepits.

Kids will love the open loft with twin beds, but it’s the Master that will truly take you away. The private balcony is great for seeing wildlife or lounging in the hammock, letting the sounds of the creek lull you to sleep.

When it’s game time, head to the basement. You’ll find a pool table, air hockey, an arcade, plenty of lounge room…and a hot tub on the deck. Young kids? No worries. This cabin is also equipped with baby gates, a high chair and pack-and-play.

For a complete escape, head out on the porch to soak in the hot tub, or belly-up to the large wet bar to craft the ultimate cocktail.

Located in the Aska area, this secluded home is in the ideal location for adventuring on the Toccoa, biking the trails, shopping downtown or horseback riding.
