Lake Blue RIdge Dam & Marina - easy access and great views of the lake. Ducks, loons and purple martins in season and the chance to see an eagle or osprey.

Fannin County Park -
a mile past Mercier Orchards. The best birding in the area plus walking trails & a nice picnic area. Lots of nature around to watch.
