Mountain Spring Break
Experience spectacular green forests, mountains and countryside. Wild flame azaleas, gorgeous dogwood and mountain laurel blossoms, and ferns springing back to life. Wildflowers pop up in April and May before the forests reach full canopy. more info

Adventure RacesHave some fun at the finish line of the 15th Annual Blue Ridge Adventure Race on April 14th in front of The Art Center, downtown Blue Ridge, beginning at 1 p.m.. Racers face mountains of challenges in the beauty of the Chattahoochee National Forest. Other races for spring: Blue Ridge 5K Lungevity Race at Merciers on April 7th; Atomic Adventure Race on May 12 and 13th. get the details

U-Pick FruitOne of the biggest attractions in our area is also the most anticipated.... U-Pick season starts at Mercier Orchards! Get 'down on the farm' and wander through the orchards picking the most incredible fruit around. Families love this. U-Pick strawberries and cherries spring up in May, and soon blueberries, peaches and more! details here

Plein Aire FestivalDon't miss Spring opportunities to capture beautiful North Georgia scenery in paint! The Art Center Spring Plein Aire Festival going on from from May 4-6 is an incredible way to get out into the beauty of the mountains and exercise your creative side. get info

Trophy TroutTime to get out into the outdoors and catch trophy trout! Here's one of the best experiences – fly fishing in Georgia's Trout Fishing Capital on the pristine Toccoa River. Fish in the middle of some of the wildest and most beautiful places in the southern USA. Pickin in the ParkThursday, May 3rd kicks off these fun casual jam sessions for acoustic musicians. Held under the trees and pavilions along the Toccoa River at Ron Henry Horseshoe Bend Park every Thursday evening from 6:00 til dusk, they run through through the end of September. Bring a picnic supper, a lawn chair and your own instrument and join the fun. get info

Arts in the ParkOne of the best art festivals in the Southeast, Spring Arts in the Park on May 26 & 27 is fun for the whole family.
