The Fannin County School System achieved district level accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS/CASI) in September of 2008. The system is comprised of three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. With a population of approximately 3,100 students in grades K-12, the resulting student to teacher ratio of 15 to 1 ensures that Fannin County pupils get plenty of teacher time and attention. Fannin County High School’s (FCHS) graduation rate continues to rise. The graduation rate for the class of 2010 was 91.3 percent; 10.5 percent above the state average.
