BRLA Blue Ridge Blues and BBQ Music Festival

Downtown Blue Ridge City Park

Downtown Blue Ridge will set the stage as a fantastic back drop and venue location for a perfect early fall event. The leaves start to change with cooler days and crisp evenings that invite outdoor activities! The sounds of Blues music and the sweet smell of BBQ from local and regional cookers will fill the air as families and groups of friends enjoy this unique setting and event. Event starts downtown on Friday night with a "Blues Crawl" at our participating venues. The actual Blues festival is the following day on saturday and starts at 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. $5.00 admission, collectable posters and apparel. Door prizes, food and a People's Choice Awards. Plan a weekend getaway! September is a great time to bring the music and feast on BBQ from all around the Southeast. Sponsored by Blue Ridge Lodging Association. Festival Entertainment: Coming soon! Updates to include the NEW Friday night Blues Crawl! Select blues bands and local restaurants will host entertainment and food specials to the true food and music lovers who come to enjoy Blue Ridge early and make it a weekend getaway. This year’s day of music and BBQ will feature the Neal Lucas Band, Men in Blues, The King Bees with “Queen Bee” Penny, Crossroads Band from Macon and our headliner Big Bill Morganfield – the son of Muddy Waters – the founder of electric blues music. New this year is a Blues Train ride which will bring you back downtown to enjoy the Blues Crawl on Friday night! Due to the nature of the event, no pets, coolers or smoking will be permitted inside the festival area. Sponsored by the Blue Ridge Lodging Association
