Blue Ridge Mtn Adventure Race
16th Annual Blue Ridge Mtn Adventure Race
Kids Race Sunday, April 14
It's time to kick it up a notch in this year's Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race on April 13, 2013. This year there is only one Elite "real deal" adventure race, but it will have a few new twists, surprises, beautiful scenery and challenges in the mountains of north Georgia. We are planning some excitement and fun at the finish line, along with a new Kid's Race on Sunday, April 14 from 10 to 1 p.m.
* A new course with the finish line at Mercier Orchards!
* New venues and scenery all the way!
* New challenges -- lots of surprises!
* Kid's race on April 14th.
Blue Ridge BasicsFor those you who haven't experienced the Blue Ridge, it began as Georgia’s first adventure race. Sixteen years later the race continues to be a favorite of racers throughout the Southeast. Teams look forward to a new adventure each year welcoming spring to Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Race Director Ron Zadroga prides himself in creating a great new experience for racers every year and this year certainly won't be an exception!
Organizers of the 16th Annual Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race on April 13, 2013, promise a challenging contest with lots of surprises and some of the most stunning scenery anywhere. This year's race is the Blue Ridge race experienced teams love, with a six to ten hour finish. Plan to enjoy a post-race party, reception and meal for racers and support. You can buy extra tickets for family members when you register.
Trophies will be presented to co-ed teams of three and masters teams of three. Open teams of two and three will receive a finish time and finisher award. Of course, everyone gets lots of great swag!
So get your team ready to run, paddle, mountain bike and navigate (and MORE!) in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. Up to 100 teams of two or three (plus one support person) will run along the forested trails of the Chattahoochee National Forest, paddle on the Toccoa River and/or Lake Blue Ridge, mountain bike steep trails and complete mystery challenges along the way.
Online registration is available through Active.com; just click on Registration!
