17th Blue Ridge Mtn Adventure Race April 12

Test

Save the date April 12, 2014 for the 17th annual Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race in Blue Ridge, Georgia. This year there will be two races in one -- an Elite "real deal" adventure race with navigation; and a Sport race with a pre-plotted map and no navigation. There will be lots of surprises, beautiful scenery and challenges in the mountains of north Georgia. We are planning some excitement and a great meal at the finish line, along with a fun Kid's Race for parents and kids on Sunday, April 13 at Mercier Orchards from 10 to 1 p.m.

2nd Annual Blue Ridge Kids Adventure Race
The Kids Race takes place on Sunday April 13 at Mercier Orchards, with registration starting at 8:00am and the race following at 10 a.m. The Kid's Race requires a willing adult, 18 and over, and an adventuresome child, 7 – 12 years old and a strong desire for some serious fun. Events include; running, cycling, paddling, archery and a few mystery events mixed in. The 2014 event is an opportunity to “race” for the fun of it…no one will receive college tuition for crossing the line first…Kid’s will receive a race T-shirt and a finishers award and something to talk about for years to come. Come on and join the fun!! Just click the Kids Race icon to register.

Blue Ridge Basics
For those you who haven't experienced the Blue Ridge, it began as Georgia’s first adventure race.  Seventeen years later the race continues to be a favorite of racers throughout the Southeast. Teams look forward to a new adventure each year welcoming spring to Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Race Director Ron Zadroga prides himself in creating a great new experience for racers every year and this year certainly won't be an exception! Plan to enjoy a post-race party, reception and meal for racers and support. You can buy extra tickets for family members when you register.

Trophies will be presented to Elite co-ed teams of three and masters teams of three; and to Sport co-ed teams of three. Open teams of one, two and three will receive a finish time and finisher award. Of course, everyone gets lots of great swag!

Online registration is available through Active.com; just click on Registration!
